How to request an eTranscript

Sheridan College offers an online service that enables current and former students to request a secure paper or electronic version of their transcript via myStudent Centre.

Delivered in partnership with SCRIP-SAFE, the new service will be available to students who start at Sheridan after Fall 2003. Students can request an electronic or paper transcript for themselves or for another individual. As well as speeding up the transcript request process, the new system allows the student to track the status of their request.

How to request an eTranscript

Step 1: Navigate to the Online Transcript Request page in myStudent Centre

To access the Online Transcript Request, log in to myStudent Centre.

Under the Academics section, select "Transcript: Request" from the drop down menu and click the go (>>) button.


Step 2: Request Transcript type - eTranscript

You can request a paper copy of your transcript or a secure eTranscript.
To request an eTranscript check the "Send Electronically" option.


Step 3: Provide Transcript Authorization

You will need to provide authorization to eSCRIP-SAFE to process and distribute.
Click "OK" to provide authorization.

Step 4: Option 1: eTranscript Recipient - Home Address

You can specify who you wish to receive the eTranscript.
If you wish to receive the transcript check the "Send to my Home Address" option.

Step 5: Confirm Recipient Information

Click the "Return" button to confirm and submit your request. An email will be sent containing a secure link to access the official e-transcript. Follow the instructions in the email to download a secure copy of your transcript. You need to use a PDF reader to open the delivered transcript.

Step 6: Option 2: eTranscript Recipient - Another Address

If you wish to send the transcript to another individual, you will be asked to enter their email address.

Click "Submit" to proceed.

You will be asked to confirm the transcript recipient information.
You should verify that the individual is willing to accept this secure PDF transcript. To ensure proper notification, request the individual to add to their safe sender email list.

Step 8: Notice of transmission

You will receive an email informing you when your transcript has been sent to the specified recipient. Make sure you have followed the instructions in the body of the email to ensure prompt delivery of your transcript.

You will receive emails informing you when your transcript has been electronically delivered and read by the recipient.

Please note: In some instances, users have received an error message when attempting to save the document ('The document could not be saved. A number is out of range') To resolve the problem, open Adobe Reader:

  • Click "Edit" in the top toolbar, Select "Preferences", then "Documents or General"
  • Uncheck the "Save As optimizes for Fast Web View" option.
