IMPORTANT: There is a shortened deadline for self-registration of Field Placement courses for the Educational Support (ES) and Educational Support Intensive (ESI) programs. The Field Placement registration deadline is Monday, May 6, 2024 at 11:59pm.
All Early Childhood Education (ECE) and ECE Intensive (ECEI) Field Placements are being pre-loaded and individual self-enrolment, adding, or swapping of placement courses is not an option.
ES and ESI field placements
ES and ESI field placements typically run for varying weeks depending on the school board or agency. Please visit SLATE's Virtual Student Lounge for details on how to complete field placements for the Spring / Summer term.
- FLPL 20199 – Field Seminar 1 & Placement 1: Online seminar delivery options / on-site placement
- FLPL 20102 – Intensive Orientation, Seminar & Placement 2: Online seminar delivery / on-site placement
- FLPL 26367 – Field Seminar 3 & Placement 3: Online seminar delivery options / on-site placement
All ECE* and ECEI* field placements will be prescheduled when registration opens.
ECE and ECEI field placements typically run during a 12-week period. They are scheduled for either Monday/Tuesday OR Thursday/Friday regardless of the delivery method.
- FLPL 15892* – Field Practice & Seminar 1: delivered in person/on site placement
- FLPL 20799* – Field Practice & Seminar 2: delivered in person/on site placement
- FLPL 29207* – Field Practice & Seminar 3: delivered in person/on site placement
*Note: For on-site field placements, students will be required to complete the document check through Synergy by the required deadlines or they will not be eligible for Field Placement in Spring / Summer 2024 (please connect with the Field Placement Program Officers and/or the Field Placement Virtual Student Lounge for details).
